i'm totally amazed by the flipping action. hehe.
day 2 - 2nd dec 2007
on plane already.
i'm kinda homesick.
as you know, i dreaded going to LJ.
in the beginning, that is..
window seat for me.
kept looking out of the window.
hehe.
was also thinking,
will i survive?
my mind had images of the plane crashing,..
hahaha.
i'm always like that.
ok plane took off at 210am.
food served wasn't nice.
i had omelette set instead of the noddles set.
perhaps if i have not taken SIA plane before, i wouldn't complain so much.
no games to play also.
so slept a while.
reached kunming airport at 610am.
first word i thought when i got off the plane.
COLDness.
haha. indeed.
and you know, when i spoke, there was smoke!
very fascinating for someone who has never been to a winter country.
went kfc next.
watched them eat.
after that, assembled at 730.
checked in.
waited until 910 to take the domestic flight to lijang.
during the journey,
they served us plain water and sweets.
wahaha.
ok. reached lijiang at around 1010.
i was overwhelmed by the scenary as soon as i got off the plane.
seriously, it's fantastic.
the mountains.
oh my god.
then, was feeling really cold already.
took some photos.
then went to the bus.
tour guide was called tom.
went straight to hotel.
it's a villa actually.
5 star villa.
you know what's the difference between a hotel and a villa?
i tell you..
a villa is 3 times better.
first time being you have your living room.
seond time being you have your computer shared only among your block mates and no one else. furthermore, you can bring your laptop there to use the internet access also, just like what the principal did every morning.
third time being you have your personal housekeeper to serve you, regardless of whether you want your fruit cut or you want yu tiao or sausages for breakfast or a glass of hot milk for supper.
no make that four times.
forth time being,
you can ask them all about history.
haha. i cherished that chance.
throughout the trip,
i asked my housekeeper and the tour guide quite a lot of questions on China's history.
rights. so it was intensive rehearsal time.
after that went for dinner. day 3 - 3rd december 2007
went to primary and secondary schools first.
the primary school is just next to the secondary school.
fun there.
there was once when we decided to bring the game to the outdoors.
chun yuan was holding on to the corrugated plastic board.
then all the kids swarmed to him as if they were fighting a war.
just feel that these chinese kids are a lot of times more enthusiastic than us singaporeans.
if someone were to present their country's history, culture or teach me some basic hygiene in the form of games, i think i will definitely give the bochap face. this is something singapore kids should learn from the chinese kids.
another thing that i have learnt is that never just give prizes to a few of them. because the game allows for only 3 winners, the others who were not among the top 3 but have fought hard to answer the questions were rather disappointed. i would never forget the scene when i saw that girl girl looking so dejected.
she was really melancholic man. even after i told her, cheer up leh, the prizes are for all of you to share. it still didn't help.
but one thing i'm glad, after group 2 distributed the stationary sets to them, she smiled and took a photo with me in smiles. me damn happy can =D
well. that's for secondary school. i didn't go to the primary school because we split up there.
went to sunflower for lunch.
the restaurant next to it reads "West Food".
haha. china's translation is kinda awkward.
went to the kindergarten. the principal there made us feel more welcome.
those kids were damn CUTE!!!!

i saw two of them shit on their pants.
another thing is that even after the sweets have dropped, a girl still picked up and attempted to put into her mouth! i saw it and threw it away. then i gave her a new one.
also, although a dustbin was just a few steps away from them, they just threw the litter on the floor! pretty shocking? hmmm..
ok before i go, let me just introduce what are the next top 2 events i'm gonna blog. sunday 9th dec 2007, yuan lin's surprise birthday celebration. rights. celebration maybe not too much of a surprise. but issac and ameilia are! hehe. and we went to watch tatooist. not nice lor. people don't watch. hehe.
then today, there's heartware. the kinda in charge said i'm very enthu hehe. because it was raining, as what she said an enterprising me suggested selling the ponchos. xinyi and i managed to sell all in the end. hehe. maybe we are the top fund raisers for the day. 96 bucks. 2nd is joycelin and winnie bah. 7o over bucks. hehe.
ya.. i would hereby like to thank my friends for coming down to support me. yuan lin came first. followed by jelly. jelly damn nice. donated 10 bucks! thanks so much man jelly. and next terence and his jie. 7 bucks! and hock ming. thanks lor. too bad i had already handed in the donated thingy. oh yeah. a real pity. junzi said he was at ps. but i didn't reply his sms and so he could not donate!!! arghs!! oh yeah. how can i forget. thanks samuel! for donating 1 buck! hehe. hope more friends will come down and support tommorow =)
