like me, they love chicken wings! no wonder we are family =D
no one wants to take with me so i stood alone and smiled =)
i was amazed by a phone booth, one which i only see on tv. i guess i do look pretty nerdy in specs?
really lazy to post other photos.
so tomorrow shall be the day!
if i'm not lazy =p
finally. here to blog....
well, was away from singapore from 27th to 3rd,
and then 4th to 6th.
and on the 7th, went for my marathon.
basically that's all i guess....
yeah yeah.
SHANGHAI TRIP
Accomodation
well, i would rate a 7 stars.
a 6-star hotel is one like the lijiang accomodation for the pinoeer batch.
an entire block that is specially catered to the few of you,
with a maid that is entirely yours to boss around.
with superb breakfast,
and basically service that is equivalent to a 5-star hotel.
and a 7-star accomodation?
nah, it's not a hotel.
it is my cousin's house.
it matches that of a hotel's standard absolutely.
just his ground floor alone,
from his first living room to the kitchen,
is the size of my entire 4-room HDB flat.
there are still the study room,
a second living room, a bedroom, 2 toilets, a toys room and an wadrobe room.
i am damn impressed with his house seriously.
there is still a garage, a small garden, a mini playground and a BBQ pit. the whole house overlooks a small stream. haha. nice scenary.
perfect place for running.
but i was too lazy haha.
his house is like a 3 storey bungalow, don't know the actual name though.
there is a clubhouse which has an indoor swimming pool - which means the water is warm, pefect for autumn, and an indoor grocery shop.
all the houses there are tende by security officers who salute you whenever you drive your car past.
just like condo mangament.
my room shared with sissy is fantastic.
it belonged to my nieces actually.
just like the one i read in story books.
with a window directly facing me when i sleep.
if it was not frosted,
i would be able to see the stars and moon at night.
like a hotel.
because there are 4 maids in the house.
as soon as i stepped out of the bedroom,
my bed is made.
the soiled towels and clothes and collected and washed.
toilet rolls are replaced.
and as soon as we sat down comfortably on the dining chairs,
a very fulfiling breakfast is served.
there are always left-overs because they always over-served.
a 7-star hotel because,
it is a home to begin with.
one which gives you the feeling of warmth and family joy.
i enjoy the nights when our 2 families spend our time in the second living room,
playing wii with my nieces and nephews.
seeing how they lost to my sissy.
or listening to nini's gibberish :)
the few days there really made us closer.
and some nights, my neices would come to our room and tell us about the happenings in school.
hehe.
2nd neice wanted me to change my msn nick to "I'm in a 6-star hotel right now", when she saw my friend's msn nick.
haha. but i think it deserves 7-stars :D
and yeah, their car is fantastic as well.
there are 3 TVs in the car.
you can watch DVDs or listen to the radio.
this is especially useful because the congestion in Shanghai is really bad.
and yeah, they have this chaffefeur,
who made a funny statement that cannot stop sissy from laughing even up to now.
hehe.
yeah.
eventful happenings..
SHOPPING!
got scammed too.
lazy to repeat.
beacuse i have told so many people already.
got some stuff that i really liked.
but shopping is never enough..
i really hope to go there again!
reached singapore on the 3rd in the evening.
on the 4th, went to my beloved college with xinyi to get my 5 bucks.
then in the afternoon, went batam.
BATAM TRIP
basically, it was boring in Batam this time round.
because xiao jiu and bobby are both so busy!
wrong timing man.
i just managed to cut my hair.
no manicure, no foot reflexlogy and my spa!
stayed at home all day and watched dvds =.=
had great meals though.
seafood feast for both nights =)
and the weather in Batam is much more bearable as compared to Shanghai's :)
eh. on the first night, playing bowling actually.
and i was the best player among us four. hoho.
that's why..
i'm hoping to go to Batam next week if everything goes well.
hehe. last trip before i start working =.=
POST-MARATHON
and yeah when i came back on the 6th at evening,
packed my stuff and met yuanlin and xinyi at ps and i was late for an hour :X
hahahahaha.
i just feel xinyi will be frustrated leh.
haha. made them wait so long.
we bought breadtalk and then bus-ed down to yuanlin's house.
we had chips and instant noodles and then watched city of ember.
oh yeah, also web-cammed with joycelin.
our convo was really funny hehe.
then we KO-ed at around 1, but yuanlin's blog says 1.30. hehe.
xinyi actually wanted to ton whole night,
but i was really dog-tired, and had a marathon the next day so i said i needed rest.
hehe.
MARATHON
yuanlin woke me up at 4 i guess.
but i slept on, hugging the piglet we gave her for her birthday last year.
hehe.
then woke up after xinyi is done with washing up and then we were out of the house at 4.50.
along the way, we camwhored because the roads were so quiet.
the journey to the starting point was more than an hour.
and i waited for hock ming, the sponsor of my marathon for quite some time.
as a result,
we started the marthon when the timer had already started.
half way through the marthon,
we ran past yuanlin's house, and i realised we have walked around 8km to the starting point.
hahaha.
so in total i should have covered 21.2 + 8 = 29.2 KM!
felt a bit regretful of not participating for the full marathon after i saw people getting the finisher t-shirt. sighs.
since whatever the distance,
i also did not train...
haiz.timing is really lousy.
soles and whole body is damn sore.
oh yeah along the way, there were free bananas also!
and thank you to my supporters, my clique, for coming down to support me!
and yuanlin and xinyi for waking up so early with me!
we lunched together, and presented joycelin her birthday gift.
we have spent time decorating it in yuanlin's house and hope she loves it hehe.
was really drained.
came home, bathed and slept from 3 to 645.
and then slept from 1000 to 1145, and then to 8am.
haha.
and know what i dreamt of my a level grades.
1 or 2 Ds, 1 or 2 Es, 2 Bs.
i think it is quite realistic.
but i hope miracles happen.
oh yeah, in shanghai,
i also dreamt that,
i have not sat for the A levels and after the holiday in Shanghai,
i have forgotten everything about BCMEGP!
thankfully a dream..
hehe.
cutie cute nieces and nephews.
:D
and will remember to take photo with cousin in batam next time =X
