dear diary,
sat was the worst. i shopped for the full solid day. went out with bun in the early part of the day and ended up sleeping in one of the shoes shops. but halfway to our destination, met felicia and vesta. couldn't recognize vesta though; she called out to me. then followed them to ps and found sin ying working there. that pang-seh kia i so miss! and today she ps us again. haha. well, hope will be able to go out with you soon lor. well, bun and i had ya kun for dinner. and it was great! i really enjoy kaya toast with teh tarik! and half boiled eggs! fantastic combination :) after that, went with mum to shop for stuff, and wait for sissy to be released from work. didn't get anything though. came back home, talked to elaine, for like 2 and a half hours! just a few hours more to my record, held by lin. hehe. i guess that's what buddies are. never running out of things to say. can't wait to see the poly peeps after their exams end!
sun. i went out again. with red this time. haha. we went to the book fest which i told ying xian i will never go. haha. and then we went to shop. most of the time was spent on suaning her in sasa and chatting over dinner though. then, saw a pair of metallic silver shoes which would match my clutch for prom but didn't buy. and yeah, i got back with no purchases. but shopping with red was great. next time should shop with TFC =) well, sneaked out of the house at 11 plus at night. while i was at the bus stop, realised i forgot to bring the very thing we were supposed to deliver. made bun wait for me for so long as a result. told two white lies. first, told penguin not to wait for me on msn and not sleep, so that she could receive us when we arrive. second, asked for her address to send her xams card because we have forgotten which floor she lives on. haha. my lies were flawless though and she couldn't sense anything amiss. later, bun let the cat out when she realised penguin was getting too smart. hahaha. don't
know rainie or bebe was letting out barks when we walked past her house. fierce dogs. anyway, sweet surprise right? we took the second last bus home. hehehe. finally, gave penguin a suprise le =) speaking of birthdays, joyce was pretty much disappointed. well, i think i should not multi-task at times. i do type long messages if i was solely smsing. hope to make it up to her after my marathon because i was really busy on her actual day.
mon. i went to have lunch with the lols. chicken rice. liyan came in a pretty dress/gown? i don't know leh. hehe. but she was very pretty. and she had dressed so formally for the special occasion - eating in a hawker centre! hahaha. just joking. then there was this man who came and collect the left-overs from our plates. it was disgusting. he took the chicken skins and liyan's unfinished rice. eeek. he is able-bodied and i think if he managed to find a job, he wouldn't have to starve himself and resort to this. hmmm. after the lunch, went to highlight my hair. got treatment, which is a different kind of treatment that i expected. wasted money for the treatment. i said i wanted obvious brown. unfortunately, it is too obvious and now sissy calls me an ah lian because it is too golden. arghs. i should have stick on to my intial choice of colour. got my pair of shoes in heartland mall. was supposed to go out at night, but due to some miscommunication, shopping spree with sherlin was cancelled. i rested at home that night. watched a lot of tv. hehe. great life. then even later, went mucus's house and borrowed her shawl and took back my tube. wanted to return keli her construction papers but she was turning in already. went home and left my mask on my face while i turned in for the night. hehe.
the big day!
well, i was dreading to get up. got to paint my nails and buy some stuff. in the end, my nails were very haphazardly done. haha. i had the anything attitude because nail art, also a form of art, is just not my cup of tea. then went to compass point next. just when i was in the train, realised i forgot to bring my handphone. went back home to retrieve it. stupid me. wasted a lot of time. in the end, no time to buy my necklace. fortunately, was already wearing a back-up piece. went to a salon with stephan. went there to do our hair and make-up. i must say my hair stylist cum make up artist is really professional. i showed him my dress and he knew what kind of hair style and make up he should help me put. and i think he looks like leon. hehe. at first, when i see my curled hair, i was quite worried as i looked really mature. but thankfully, it was bunded up with just a few strands lying on my shoulder. hehe. next time if there are any other formal events, i want to get this hair stylist back man. hehe. he shared some tips with me as well. anyway, another hair stylist actually smsed and asked if i was happy with my highlighted hair. it is tough messaging in chinese so i replied very slowly hehe. what good service salons offer.
fortunately, yiyi was there to help me with my dressing and stuff. after we are done, winnie and joyce came down and we cabbed down to the mountain. didn't take as many photos as i wanted because my camera is real sucky! and yeah, the food ok la. way better than last year. the programmes would have been better if it was fairer.
after prom, i was torn between going to sam's youth centre or post prom, where we will be going to a club. clubbing! that was one of my birthday events but because of some unforseen circumstanes again, i didn't go :( hence after knowing that most of my class peeps are going, i seriously feel like going as well! in the end, sasin and i decided to go to post prom with my class and cabbed down to sam's territory later in the night, or rather pre-dawn. walked all the way down the mountain to clarke quay. my new heels inflicted some more fresh wounds on my already wounded feet. and when we finally reached out destination, class peeps say they will not be touching alcohol, makes no sense to pay so much to have a feel of what a club is like. so in the end we never go :( :( :( :( it is no fun if i were to go with sasin only. i want the crowd. so all of us went to 7 11 and got ourselves alcohol. my first time drinking alchohol though. i believe i should hold my liqour well just like my dad. hehe .but it's only 5% alchohol. next, we let the sea breeze brush over our faces and it was a really fantastic feeling. i love the feel of nature.
so, at around 2.10am, joyce, winnie, sasin and i left for the youth centre. reached sam's place and i was really exhausted. watched high school musical one and fell asleep half way. due to my forgetfulness, my clothes were left in stephan's house. and yeah. sorry to sam again. yup
, it was really uncomfortable sleeping in a dress. came home at around 730 am. bathed straightaway and slept like a log from 830 to 2, although there were noise.
in the afternoon, went to service my lappy with sam and then went to dinner with some 4A girls and mr gek at night. again, cunning gek tricked us, and treated us again. haha. after that, went to hougang mall to find mum.
and yeah, regarding the prom, there were many people whom i cannot recognize because they were so pretty! hahaha. shan't name them because there are just too many people.
yeah. i didn't regret coming for prom. oh yeah. i exceeded my prom budget though. i spent over 250 bucks for this. must be my complacency after buying a dress that is below my budget haha.
well. i will be on the plane afterwards.
